FAQ
Asked and answered.
Ten questions that come up before people apply, answered the way I would answer them on a call. If yours is not here, ask it in the application.
What is a Nutrition Map, and how is it different from a meal plan?
A meal plan tells you what to eat and asks for strict adherence. The day you cannot follow it, you are off the plan, and most people call that failure.
A Nutrition Map is a personally tailored guideline. It is built from your intake, your training, your schedule and the food you actually like, and it is written so you can make choices inside it. A client dinner, a travel week, a birthday: you are still on the Map, because the Map was built for a life that has those in it.
When you are short on time, the Map guides a quick decision that keeps you on track. When you are unsure, I am a text or a phone call away.
It is yours, it changes as you change, and it is the part of this I do not publish.
Do I have to give up the food I love?
No. If a thing cannot survive a birthday, a holiday and a bad week, it is not a method, it is a diet, and you have already tried those.
There are no off days here and there are no cheat meals, because both ideas assume you are serving a sentence. You are not. You are learning when to eat what, and why, and what it does to you a week down the road.
Do I need a gym?
No. But do not mistake that for a shrug toward the weight room. I am very much for it, and if you want to be in one, I will get you comfortable there.
Some clients walk in anxious on day one, not sure where anything is or what to do with it. Some have decades under the bar and want to know what comes next. I meet you at your level and take you forward from there. It is the part of this work I am best at.
And if a gym is not part of your life right now, the training is built around the life you have. Walking and a few key strength movements, done consistently, move the number further than most people expect.
What if I travel?
Then we build for a life with travel in it. Your schedule is an input, not an excuse I have to work around. The Map exists so that a hotel, an airport and a client dinner are decisions you can make rather than weeks you write off.
How fast will I lose weight?
Not in a straight line, and anyone promising you one is selling something.
It goes peaks and valleys. You will have a week at your goal weight and the next week you will be two or three pounds over it, and that is the process working, not failing. Expecting the slide is what makes people quit in month two.
What if it is not working?
Then we find out why, quickly, because I am looking at your numbers every week rather than at the end of a quarter. Nobody gets it right in month one. What matters is how fast the correction happens.
After the first three months it is month to month, for as long as it is working. If it stops working and I cannot fix it, you should not be paying me.
Do you work with my doctor?
Yes, and I will tell you when you need one. I coach nutrition and performance. I am not a physician and I do not diagnose or treat anything. If something in your bloodwork or your history needs a doctor, that is where it goes, and I will say so plainly.
Is this macros? Do I have to weigh everything or track calories?
No, no and no. The Nutrition Map shows you what a portion should look like, so you are never guessing at a plate. From there I ask for photos of your meals, which tell me more about your portions than a food log ever will.
Then two mornings a week, typically Monday and Friday, you step on a smart scale. A couple of weeks of those check-ins tell me whether we trim portions, add training, or leave things exactly as they are.
No food gets weighed, logged or counted. You eat, you send a photo, you step on the scale, and I do the reading.
What do you actually need from me every week?
Your numbers and your honesty. Weight from your scale, how the training went, how you slept, what got in the way. It takes a few minutes.
The honesty matters more than the numbers. I cannot fix a week you describe as fine.
What happens after I apply?
I read it myself. Every one. If it looks like a fit you will hear from me with a time to talk, and if it does not, you will hear that too, with the reason. I do not leave applications unanswered.
